Friendsgiving Is Best On Horseback
The day was sunny, as always, here in the desert, so it was perfect for riding. My friend Sarah was here with shrimp cocktails, and while we were waiting for Steve to come eat, we went for a ride down the canal trails in Gilbert. Wildfire was totally sound today, and we ran quite a bit once he and Cali warmed up. It was an awesome ride!
Mom’s Birthday Ride
My mom and my niece are visiting for her birthday. Evelyn was excited to ride Wildfire, and, of course, he took great care of them both.

Horsing Around
Recently, I’ve bought horses — three of them. Wildfire is 20 years old, a grade horse, and about as sweet and gentle as you could imagine a horse being. Henderson is 11, an OTTB, and Mina is 8, also an OTTB.
Next month, I’m moving into a ranch house with a barn, where I’ll get to live with these guys. Right now, they are stabled at a barn near my current house.
I’m excited, and terrified.
Wildfire Is Home
This is the best horse. He was originally trained by Super Gentle Horses and then ran barrels for a decade. Now, he’s teaching me to ride again.
